Sale of Nortel’s Business Telephone IP Unit

8 Jan 2010

Nortel Business Telephone Systems IP Unit Sale to Genband approved by U.S. & Canadian Courts

Almost a year on from the Nortel’s notice of going into receivership, which in turn led to the company’s further downturn US & Canadian courts have announced that bidding may begin on it’s CVAS (Carrier VoIP and Application Solutions) business to Genband. Qualified bidders will be required to submit offers for the CVAS end of Nortel’s business by February 23, 2010. Competing, qualified bids will then be rolled out to an auction sale, which has been scheduled for Feb. 25, 2010.
